I am the Russian artist Igor Kazarin, my vocation is art. Born 1962 in Skopin, Ryazan Region. My love for drawing began in early childhood. At the age of about 15 years, I have attended the courses of watercolor painting and drawing in the Palace of Culture in the city. Skopin, this was my first knowledge of painting, which was deposited in my mind, and very useful in the future. Any else art education I did not received, today, I certainly regret about it. Drawing my first portraits I started at school age, drew live portraits and from different Soviet magazines, I was very liked to draw at that time famous movie actors.
In 1984, near Kiev, I served in the army 27309, where I also frequently drew portrait sketches of my colleagues and I got a pretty good experience of the artist designer and draftsman. Then I went to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where I worked as designer at the various enterprises of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in the North in the city Dudinka.
In 1988 I left Dudinka and I arrived in St. Petersburg where I saw for the first time street artists, on the Nevsky Prospect. Then I traveled to Moscow and saw street artists on Arbat Street, and finally I arrived in Crimea and thanks to Gorbachev's perestroika, artists also drew portraits on the seafront of Yalta, where for the first time I decided to draw portraits in the street, I felt a spirit of freedom and location in that atmosphere which was intended by my life.
In 1989, I drew portraits on Arbat Street in Moscow. Drew mostly by pencil, even though I first time had seen artist painted portraits by dry brush. This painting technique has made a huge impression at me, and a little later I decided to try it. Very soon I got used to working with a dry brush and very fond of it, and this technique is probably fell in love with me))). During the time from my point of view I did several perfected and added something personal changes to my Dry Drush working. In this technique of drawing, I drew a great number of live portraits. Frequently I had to draw portraits for foreigners, which then prompted me more seriously learn English to communicate with them.
In 1996, like many of my colleagues have joined the creative union of artists of Russia.
In 2002, I twice visited the United Arab Emirates, where I was invited to festivals in Dubai. I also drew portraits there by dry brush. This drawing style is very liked the Arabs and numerous tourists, it can be said except russian artists, this painting technique was not known to the local portrait artists and this drawing technique there was a novelty, accordingly my work watched a lot of people.
In 2006, I created a website and art-portrets.ru gradually filled it with my work. I mastered the construction and study of the site and tried to reveal its various features.
Since that time, I did not go to draw portraits on Arbat street, only came to visit my colleagues and friends portrait artists and caricaturists.
In 2009, I decided to create a channel on youtube called PortraitDrawing, then my video post on my website and demonstrate a short process of working to visitors. Honestly I did not expect that these videos will gain millions of views and hundreds of subscribers.
In spite of this lately, I do not shoot the video for Youtube, because i always busy with orders, or fully engaged in creative activity. I certainly apologize to my numerous subscribers of my channel, maybe in the future I will fix.
Since the creation of my website and to this day I have a strong focus on oil portraits. For example on the Arbat based on my drawing practice, a huge proportion of black and white portraits, I can tell when I drew on the street Oil portraits were rare orders. Therefore, it was necessary to a full time practical experience with oil portraits to improve it enough in my mind, that's what I'm still doing.
